Privacy Policy
Last updated April 25, 2026
The short version
We built the Peak City app and website to help you connect with our church. We don't run advertising, we don't sell or share personal information, and we don't track you across other websites or apps. We collect only what's needed to make features work — and we tell you plainly what that is below.
Information we collect
Information you give us
If you fill out a form on our site or app — such as a prayer request, a "first time visitor" form, a contact message, or a giving form — we (or the third-party service hosting that form) receive the information you submit. Forms hosted by Planning Center, Pushpay, or similar partners are governed by those partners' own privacy policies; we use their information to follow up with you.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website or open our app, our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard server logs: your IP address, the page requested, your device's general type and operating system, and the timestamp. We use these logs only to operate the site, diagnose errors, and protect against abuse.
The app and website do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies that follow you across the web.
Push notifications (iOS / Android app only)
If you grant permission, our app receives a device token from Apple (APNs) or Google (FCM) so we can send you notifications about new sermons, events, and church updates. We store this token to send those notifications. You can turn push notifications off at any time in your device's Settings → Notifications → Peak City. If you uninstall the app, the token expires automatically.
Embedded content
Some pages embed third-party content — sermon videos via YouTube (using youtube-nocookie embeds when possible), event details via Planning Center, and giving via Pushpay. When you interact with embedded content, those services may collect information directly from your browser according to their own privacy policies.
How we use your information
- To respond to prayer requests, contact messages, visit forms, and giving receipts.
- To send the push notifications you opted in to receive (sermon reminders, event announcements, weekly updates).
- To operate, secure, and improve the app and website.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising. We may share information with the service providers we use to run the church's communication tools (e.g., Planning Center, Pushpay, Vercel, Apple, Google) only to the extent needed to provide those services to you.
How long we keep information
We keep form submissions and giving records as long as needed to serve you and meet our recordkeeping obligations as a church. Server logs are retained for a short period (typically 30 days). Push notification tokens are kept until you disable notifications or uninstall the app.
Children
The Peak City app is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app itself. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided us information through one of our forms, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Push notifications: turn off in your device's Settings → Notifications → Peak City.
- Access, correction, or deletion: email us at info@peakcityco.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Security
We use widely adopted technical safeguards (HTTPS everywhere, modern hosting, vetted service providers) to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and, if the change is significant, we'll highlight it inside the app or on the website.
